There's still things we want to do, and future plans to discuss what we plan on doing next. That's right, we're not quite stopping with our 300th episode, but things will be a bit different when we get to that. It'll be interesting when it happens.

Episode 170 - Cannon Countdown: Top 100 Cannon Movies! [Part 5]

This is it! We've finally made it to the end!

This is our 300th overall episode, and our last traditional Cannon Cruisers episode. In this one we finally settle on the Top 25, as well as give out each of our own personal lists for Top 25 Cannon movies. It's an extra long finale as we wrap up the old series with style.

What comes next? Well, keep your eyes on the blog for that. Over the next two weeks I will be putting up new posts on the blog putting up the text version of our lists and then a more detailed description of what we'll be doing next.

Long story short, Cannon Cruisers will still be around, just in a slightly different form. But that will come later.

For now, enjoy this finale episode. It's been a long time coming. Thank you for sticking with us over the years! It's been a blast and we can't wait to show you what comes next.

Keep cruising that Cannon (and Non-Cannon) catalog, and we'll see you soon!

Welcome back to out final list of Cannon movies! This episode is a bit shorter than the last few as we narrow down the list leading up to the Top 25 films. You can think of this one as more of an episode where we sweep it up.

There isn't much longer to go, however. After today all that is left is to assemble our Top 25 Cannon Films and decide just what belongs where. So jump on in and listen as we struggle to figure out how to get there. It's a blast.

Once again, thank you for spending so many episodes with us. We never thought we'd make it this far, and yet here we are. Only just a bit further to go!

Episode 168 - Cannon Countdown: Top 100 Cannon Movies! [Part 3]

One again we dive into this list of ours, and seek to find some organization among the madness, Today we seek some clarity among the 50 titles we have left. How does one even start to imagine what will make it higher? This is the point where we start making more difficult decisions and really digging into why we like them.

Since we've been doing this since 2017, we've watched a lot of Cannon movies and related movies and we've learned an appreciation for films of that era. It's hard to imagine even being able to have this conversation at all back then, never mind choosing the flicks to do today. It took this long just to truly get why we look doing what we do.

As always, check out today's episode to find out just what we think about these movies from infamous studio whose reputation only improves by the year. There's still two more episodes to go. Tune in to learn just what makes the list!

This episode is a bit less controversial than last time, but we still make some surprising additions I didn't quite expect when cobbling this together.

As always check out today's much longer than usual episode to figure out just what we consider makes the divide on our list between the top and bottom Cannon movies of all time! You might be shocked.

Episode 159 - Season 08 Wrap-Up! [Part One]

That's write, this hour long episode is only part one in our big season finale for Cannon! Since we covered over 50(!) movies in this season alone, we decided to split this episode in half. Next week you will be able to hear the rest of our conversation as we delve into the best and worst Cannon movies in this extra long never-ending season!

I promise the episode is nowhere near as endless as the season itself was. No, we had a pretty good time talking. We covered just about everything we could over these fifty films and as brief a coversation as possible.

Check out today's episode to see just how it went!

Non-Cannon ~ Episode 116 - Season 08 Wrap-Up!

We've finally made it to the end of this incredibly long eighth season of Cannon Cruisers! Instead of our usual Cannon movie round up, we decided to first start with our Non-Cannon episodes. Those (yes, it's more than one) will be saved for next week. In this episode the two of us cover 30+ Non-Cannon movies and talk for an hour!

Hope you're ready to settle in. It's a long one!

Non-Cannon ~ Episode 85 - Season 07 Wrap-Up!

Finishing up our work from 2021, check out our end of season episode for the Non-Cannon movies we covered! We decided to split this into two episodes to make them more digestible, but they are nonetheless each packed with plenty of content.

After our big summer special we decided it might be best to give a look back its own individual special to focus on, on top of the other Non-Cannon episodes we covered. As always, check the episode above for our full thoughts!

That is all for season 7! We will be taking the next two weeks off to hopefully get a new backlog of episodes for you to enjoy. Season 8 is just around the corner!

Episode 107 - Season 07 Wrap-Up!

Welcome to 2022!

For our first episode of the year, we present to you our season finale for season 7! It was a long road to get here where we covered a lot of films this year. In 2021, we actually covered more movies in a year than we ever have before. Because of that, we decided to split our Non-Cannon movies off into another episode that will be up next week. Today, it's Cannon only!

We once again want to thank you for tuning is for over four years, and hope you'll stick with us to the bitter end. It's been a long road, and we've still got some ground left to cover. Thanks for sticking around through 2021.

Here's to a great new year!

Episode 91 - Season 06 Wrap-Up

We finally made it!

After over a year in production, and many real world events, Cannon Cruisers season 6 has finally been brought to a close. It's been a long journey, and we are glad to finally move on to the next season and bit of Cannon Films history.

Check out this extra long episode as we wrap it up in style. Can we even remember everything we covered? you'll have to tune in to find out!

As for what's next, we will be taking a two week break before returning with another short special. Pay attention to the episode above if you wish to have a hint as to what it might be. If you've been watching since the beginning then you might have guessed this was coming.

Until then, have a good two weeks. We'll be back before you know it.

Episode 75 - Season 05 Wrap-Up

That's another season in the bag!

Join us as we go through our recap of the previous season and discuss what we enjoyed the most over Cannon's 1988. As usual we go through what we enjoyed, and what we didn't, among this set of movies and hint at what's next to come.

Of course, as usual there will be no new episode for two weeks, but you might still find a surprise or two on this feed in the meantime. I think I'm about due for another written entry. At the same time, have a Teespring page! It's not much, with just one shirt, but it is something. It contains the logo I designed above. We just hit episode 75, so just wait until we hit 100! It's going to be great. Good times ahead.

Stay tuned as we continue our cruise through the Cannon catalog for gems and junk alike. We're not stopping any time soon!

Episode 61 - Season 04 Wrap-Up

Well here we are at the end of another great season of Cannon Cruisers! I hope're all having a good time, as we had quite the kick going over every movie we covered over the season.

But don't you fret, we aren't done yet. After a two week break we'll be back with a new summer season of non-cannon movies for you to enjoy. We've picked quite the strange set this time, and you will hardly be able to guess any of them.

But for now enjoy our completely unedited finale for season 4. Up next we move on to Cannon's latter years!

Up Next: Another summer special!

Episode 47 - Season 03 Wrap-Up

And with this we leave you with our final episode of season 3, and halfway point for Cannon Cruisers as a whole. It's amazing that we made it this far. However, we have many more works to cover. Please stick with us along the way.

Once again, enjoy this unedited one hour discussion over B-movies. Over 20 movies are included within. We went all in on this one.

We will be back in two weeks for season 4! Until then, thank you for watching!

Up Next: Season 4!

Sunday, July 1, 2018

Episode 32 - Season 02 Wrap-Up

This season was a might bit shorter than the last, but we ended up packing the most 1985 Cannon content we could in one season. It was a wild ride, so enjoy our rambling, unedited thoughts on everything season 2.

Season 3 will cover 1986 in Cannon's history, which is probably their most important with the most high profile releases in the studio's history. It is also the year the wheels began to come off. But w'll be to that when we get to it. For now, please enjoy this episode.

That's a wrap on season 2. It's been fun, and we're just getting started! We promise that season 3 will be even better.

Episode 18 - Season 01 Wrap-Up

And with this episode we reach the end of our first season.

This has been an interesting project for us so far. We started Cannon Cruisers purely for a project that celebrated a forgotten era of film and ended up surprised at what we ran into. Movies were a very different beast back in the 1980s than they are now. As pieces of pure entertainment, good or bad, there was very little about this season that wasn't fun to do on a least some level.

We ended up seeing a lot of different films which helped put this time period in perspective. Season ended up covering Cannon's genre films from 1980 to 1984, almost half the decade. This was because Cannon mostly focused on re-releasing foreign films for much of this time or co-producing with other studios while having little involvement themselves. But future seasons should be much different. As of season 2 we'll be covering each year in a season until we reach then end of the '80s. As you can imagine, this means there will be many more movies to cover.

And yes, this is confirmation that Cannon Cruisers will be continuing. Season 2 should begin in March after a quick break and catch up on other projects we are working on.

But until then we leave you with our season wrap up episode where we ramble unedited for an hour and say a lot of things we probably regretted later.

Enjoy, and we'll see you in season 2!
